Convert-A-Ball Interchangeable Ball Set Review 901B- Video

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Convert-A-Ball 1-7/8" and 2" Interchangeable Ball Set. The part number is 901B. It's a really nice system that allows you without having to remove this nut and get everything torqued back down properly to switch between an 1-7/8" and a 2" ball. Of course, it's got a 1" bolt diameter that comes down through the shank. On that we're going to have a lock washer and there's also a cotter pin just for an additional level of safety. Now this is the 1-7/8" ball that we've got installed. We'll just push on the pin that goes through it there, pull that through, it's going to allow us to remove the 1-7/8" ball and then place on the 2" ball. more

Fastway Hitch Ball - Trailer Hitch Ball - DTBM28 Review- Video

Today we're going to be taking a look at the replacement double ball for Fastway and DiversiTech ball mounts. This replaces the double ball set on the solid toe series adjustable aluminum ball mounts. It's going to include the 2 inch ball and the 2 and 5/16 inch ball. It's a nice, durable stainless steel construction, highly resistant to rusting and corrosion, should last a really long time, and it swaps out easily. Now, you will need to use the hex adjustment tool, part number DTBM26, that is sold separately, if you don't have it, or you can use any 5/16 inch hex wrench. The 2 inch ball has a weight capacity of 8,000 pounds, it's engraved right there on the assembly, the 2 and 5/16 inch ball has a weight capacity of 10,000 pounds. Now, when you're ready to replace the ball assembly, very easy to do so, what you'll need to do is loosen a hex bolt that holds the ball platform onto the mount, slide the platform off of the mount. more

Curt Hitch Ball - Gooseneck Hitch Ball - C60616 Review- Video

Toady we're going to review the Curt 2 5/16 replacement ball for the Curt Double-lock Flip and Store Gooseneck Hitch, and it has a 30,000 pound weight capacity. This part will replace the hitch ball that came standard with your Curt Under Bed Double-lock Flip and Store Gooseneck Trailer Hitch. Basically, this ball, you see the handle on the bottom of it It flips over, and you drop it in the hole and it will store upside down in your hitch. When you're ready to use it, you just pull up, there's a dual, double locking pin that you would pull out, pull this up, flip it over, drop it in, and put the double locking pin right back in. This has a nice, corrosion resistant chrome finish. A few specs on this, and it is stamped on the top, also if you need to know. The diameter is your standard 2 5/16 diameter, max gross towing weight capacity is 30,000 pounds, and the maximum vertical load or pin weight capacity is 7,500 pounds. more

Curt Hitch Ball - Pintle Hitch Ball - C48830 Review- Video

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Replacement Hitch Ball for the Curt Pintle Hook Combos. This is going to have a 2 and 5/16th inch ball diameter. It's rated at 16,000 pounds. It's going to work with the Curt Pintle Hook Combos, those combos are sold separately. It's going to act as a direct replacement for the ball that comes standard with Part Number C48006, and it can be added to Part Number C48007 to supply a 2 and 5/16th inch ball. It's going to provide the attachment point for a standard hitch ball coupler, it's made from a drop forged steel construction. It's going to have a rust resistant chrome plated finish on it, so it's going to last a long time, and it's going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. It does come with a nylon insert lock nut, so that is included. more

Curt Hitch Ball - Trailer Hitch Ball - C40032 Review- Video

Today we'll be taking a look at part #C40032, this is the Curt 1-7/8" hitch ball. It's got a nice high-rise design to it, it's going to let you easily match the ball to your trailer height. The trailer hitch ball sits 2 extra inches above the ball mount platform. We've got the fine threads here on the shank, that's going to provide a nice, tight, strong grip that we're looking for, steel construction with a nickel-chrome finish to resist rust and corrosion. You're going to get your hitch ball, you're going to get lock-washer, and your nut for a full installation. When installing this, you'd place this through your draw-bar or through that ball hole, lock-washer goes on the underside followed by the nut and then you would need to get that tightened down according to the specifications listed by the manufacturer. The hitch ball diameter is going to measure 1 and 7/8 of an inch, it's going to have a capacity of 3500 pounds. That rise, right there, that's where you can see that two inch measurement. more

Draw-Tite Hitch Ball - Trailer Hitch Ball - 19255 Review- Video

Today, we're going to be taking a look at part number 19255. This is the tow-ready two-inch Hitch Ball. It's made from a steel construction. It's going to have a really nice chrome finish on it so you don't have to worry about rust or corrosion. Another neat feature about this unit, is here on the sides, it's got flat sides. These are called your wrench flats and makes your installation much easier. When installing this keep in mind that this must be torqued to specifications that's listed by the manufacturer. If we take the measurement of the shank diameter on this unit-measuring this portion right here-that shank is going to give us a diameter, looks to be about three quarters of an inch. more
